IDONIAL TECHNOLOGICAL CENTER
Founded in 2019 after the merger of PRODINTEC and ITMA, IDONIAL is a new industry-driven Innovation Technology Centre specialized in industrial design and advanced manufacturing processes and materials. Our mission is to contribute to the promotion and development of the business sector in a proactive way through the application of innovation and technology as a strategic instrument to improve the competitiveness of industrial companies through R&D activities. With a multi-sectoral approach, IDONIAL presents a great experience in 3D printing where, thanks to the experience of its staff, IDONIAL is capable to achieve the development of customized 3D printers for strategic sectors such as tissues engineering. Thus, IDONIAL is capable to design and develop customized 3D bioprinters according to physicochemical rheological properties of the used (bio) ink. Thanks to that, material developers are able to modify the concept of the process: instead of to develop limited by the machine, they could carry out the development with greater freedom of action, due to it will be the printer who adapts to the needs.
Main task in the project
IDONIAL`s main task will be focused on leading WP4, 3D bioprinting process, covering all the tasks, 4.1, conditions and requirements, 4.2, bioprinter development and 4.3 production process. In addition, and related to definitions of requirements and conditions, IDONIAL will collaborate with the bioinks development during WP3 in both, hyaluronic (T3.1) calcium phosphate (T3.3) derivatives and its mix (T3.4). Finally, activities focused on exploitation and regulatory (WP9) and management, dissemination and communication (WP10) will complement the main IDONIAL activities in the project.
